TECHNICAL PACKAGING ENGINEER

📍 Location: West Yorkshire - with travel to client sites throughout the UK

We are recruiting for a Technical Packaging Engineer on behalf of a leading company in the flexible packaging industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on technical expert to play a pivotal role in supporting customers across the UK. You will be responsible for running material trials, providing on-site technical guidance, troubleshooting challenges, and strengthening client relationships.

Our client specialises in polypropylene, laminates, and specialty films and is at the forefront of innovative packaging solutions, particularly for the food industry.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Conduct material trials with customers to ensure optimal performance.
✅ Provide technical support and expertise on-site.
✅ Collaborate closely with clients to understand their needs and deliver solutions.
✅ Perform site visits to assess material performance and recommend improvements.

Ideal Experience & Skills:

🔹 Strong knowledge of flexible packaging materials and processes.
🔹 Experience working with OPP, CPP, laminates, and PET films.
🔹 Background in the food packaging industry is highly desirable (other packaging experience will be considered).
🔹 Comfortable with frequent travel and confident in client-facing situations.
