UK BASED WITH TRAVEL TO CLIENTS IN THE NORTH & MIDLANDS
My client is a leader in the flexible packaging industry selling predominantly into the food sector. They are looking to recruit an experienced and driven sales manager to join their team, Specialising in high-performance packaging solutions for the food industry, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, managing key customer accounts, and driving sustainable growth.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded individual.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve and exceed revenue targets
- Identify new business opportunities and convert leads into long-term partnerships
- Manage and grow existing accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
- Build strong relationships with procurement, technical, and operational teams within customer businesses
- Understand customer needs and work with internal teams (production, technical, design) to deliver tailored packaging solutions
- Prepare and present compelling sales proposals and product demonstrations
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to inform strategy
- Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events
- Work closely with senior leadership to forecast sales performance and report on KPIs
Requirements:
- Proven track record in B2B sales within the flexible packaging or related industry (e.g. printed film, lidding film, flow wrap, laminates)
- Experience selling into the food manufacturing sector is essential
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
- Excellent relationship management and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated and results-driven, with a proactive approach to new business development
