Our client has been a leader in the flexible packaging industry for over 30 years. They are seeking a dynamic Sales Director to lead and expand their presence in the UK and European markets.
Known for delivering exceptional packaging solutions to sectors including Food, Beverage, Medical, Pharmaceutical, Health & Beauty, and more, they serve a global client base across the UK, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Their cutting-edge printing technology ensures precision and quality for a wide range of applications.
This is a pivotal leadership role where you will oversee a sales team of 10, drive the development and execution of a robust sales strategy, and establish KPIs to optimise performance. You will play a key part in expanding market share, fostering innovation, and ensuring outstanding customer experiences across diverse sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire a high-performing sales team, providing strategic direction and fostering a results-driven culture.
- Develop, implement, and monitor KPIs to drive team performance, supported by regular coaching and training.
- Shape and execute the company's sales strategy across the UK and European markets, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders, acting as a trusted partner to meet their needs.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure seamless communication and operational efficiency through remote and in-person channels.
- Stay ahead of market trends and challenges within the plastics and flexible packaging industries, ensuring the team remains competitive and innovative.
- Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and client meetings, both domestically and internationally.

- Proven experience in sales team leadership within the plastics or flexible packaging industries, with a deep technical understanding of materials and market challenges.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and creative problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport, foster relationships, and deliver outstanding customer service.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and drive sales KPIs, ensuring accountability and continuous improvement.
- A track record of successfully leading international sales strategies, with experience in managing remote teams and cross-border communications.
- A proactive and adaptable approach to managing tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
