SALES DEVELOPMENT MANAGER - FLEXIBLE PACKAGING
£Depending On Experience + Car Allowance + Bonus + Generous Benefits Package
LOCATION: EAST MIDLANDS, WEST MIDLANDS, NORTH WEST ENGLAND, NORTH EAST ENGLAND or will consider other locations with easy motorway network access.
Our client is part of an International group with manufacturing sites globally, they are investing heavily in the latest technologies to provide high quality printed flexible packaging solutions, pouches, sachets, continuous VFFS & HFFS films in PET / PE/ ALU / EVOH / Paper and multi-layer laminates.
They are now seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales and business development, with experience in the flexible packaging industry particularly with pouches.
You will play a crucial role in driving growth and expanding the company market presence by identifying new business opportunities, building strong relationships with clients, and developing strategies to increase sales. You will be given some accounts to grow and develop.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the flexible packaging sector, with a focus on pouches.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, understanding their packaging needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns that support sales efforts.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities in the flexible packaging industry.
- Prepare and present proposals, quotations, and contracts to clients, ensuring a smooth sales process.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote our products and services.
- Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and market feedback to the management team.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management within the flexible packaging industry, with a focus on pouches.
- Strong understanding of the flexible packaging market, including key trends and customer needs.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
