My client is a high-quality BRC approved converter of printed and plain flexible packaging, serving a diverse range of industries, including food manufacturing and distribution. Our client operates a fast-paced work environment with high standards.

Quality Assurance is at the core of their operations, and they maintain the highest industry standards, including BRCGS accreditation, and adhere to rigorous safety and environmental protocols. Their focus on compliance ensures that all their products meet the strict requirements of the industries we serve.

They are currently looking to recruit a QHSE / Compliance Officer. The chosen candidate will be primary responsible for the Health And Safety and BRC.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve current BRC QMS, ensuring they fully meet the compliance standards set out in the BRC Packaging Standards.
  • Using the management team to advise on improvements to attain the highest possible accreditation
  • Taking the lead on all BRC related work and audits
  • Organise, Complete and Prioritise internal audits, following through on all NCR's, ensuring regular mixture of participants
  • Through company inductions and training, ensure that any new starters are fully trained in the hygiene and H&S requirements, also organising refresher training for existing employees, liaising with Production manager to update the training log
  • Maintain work wear control, ensuring that the supplier they use is compliant with their hygiene standards and ensuring that the operators and staff have access to the correct work wear
  • H&S - Ensure all practices are carried out in a safe manor, carrying out relevant risk assessments, identify any areas for improvement to the management team
  • Carry out regular H&S meetings with relevant personnel, also document and prioritise fire safety procedure
  • Raising PO's for supplier raw materials, booking in deliveries, processing invoices and filing as and when required
