38.5 HOURS A WEEK / NO WEEKENDS / 12 HOUR CONTINENTALS

Our client has been established for over 30 years and are a leader in the flexible packaging and film industry! the company has consistently provided long-term, secure employment opportunities. They hold BRC certification and is an approved food packaging supplier to leading manufacturers in the UK and internationally.
They are currently looking for a Flexographic Printer to join their team within the production department. The chosen candidate will be reporting to the Operational Excellence Manager and safely and efficiently run multi-colour printing presses ensuring the highest quality standards and output volumes.

Responsibilities:

To ensure the health & safety of all shift Staff / Contractors including protective clothing, equipment use and area environment
Carrying out pre-inspection and ensuring any malfunctions of equipment or difficulties with any job are reported to rectify the problem
All planned print machines are operational producing product following guidelines accurately and ensuring all specific customer requirements are met. This includes repeat length, position of print, colour standards
Maintaining all housekeeping standards, keeping an organised, clean work environment free from debris and hazards
Meeting / exceeding targeted standards and correct non-conformances

Requirements:

4-colour flexographic print press operating experience
Working / technical knowledge of flexographic printing
Experience in troubleshooting issues with the printing press or print quality
Experience gained from working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Strong individual with attention to details and high level of accuracy
A can-do attitude, able to overcome obstacles with a team approach
Organisational and planning skills to manage your time and to meet deadlines and objectives
Interpersonal skills that enable you to work with people at all levels and to motivate others
