Our client is a leading manufacturer and printer of extruded films in the UK, they supply a range of printed and plain polythene either as film on the reel or converted film and bag products to cater for various industries including Medical / Pharma, Food, Mailing, Horticulture & Agriculture

They are currently seeking a Business Development Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and business development within the packaging industry, with a proven ability to drive growth and build lasting client relationships.

Although experience of selling the companies products would be of an advantage my client is open to speaking to candidates from other areas of packaging with experience selling into the market sectors they currently sell into.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the company's market presence
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and growth targets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and industry partners
  • Provide regular reports and updates on sales performance and business development activities
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and market developments to identify new opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Experience in business development or sales, within the packaging industry.
  • Strong understanding of packaging products and industry trends
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationship
  • A proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
