Our client is a global leader in the manufacturing and supply of high quality packaging solutions, dedicated to improving sustainability and innovation within the industry. Their diverse portfolio includes products for the food, medical, and other specialised markets. They pride themselves on commitment to quality, customer satisfaction, and environmental stewardship.
They are now looking to recruit a dynamic and results driven Area Sales Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing new business opportunities, and managing key accounts within Italy and France selling into the Medical and Food Industry.
This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a deep understanding of the flexible packaging industry, particularly pouches.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to achieve sales targets and expand customer base in Italy and France
- Maintaining and developing existing customers
- Identifying and mapping customers' flexible packaging needs
- Maintaining and developing sales pipeline
- Preparing and negotiating offers and contracts, and managing sales price adjustments
- Increasing market awareness of the group's total product portfolio
- Planning budgets, sales volume, values, product mix and time scales
Ideal Candidate: Selling pouches into the food / medical market in Italy or France
Considered Experience: Selling another packaging product into the food and medical market in Italy or France OR Selling pouches into the UK Market (Food & Medical) who can bring a good technical product knowledge
Other Experience / Requirements:
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Strong understanding of the packaging market, with specific knowledge of pouches being highly desirable.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Willingness to travel frequently within the region. (costs covered by company)
Please note it is not a requirement for this role to speak Italian or French however this would be an additional bonus.
