BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER - RFID LABELS

HOMEBASED / ANY UK LOCATION

£40K - 60K (DOE) + Commission + Car Allowance + Pension + Death in Service + Phone + Laptop + Private Healthcare + Dental

Our client is a leader in identification solutions, in electronic, travel, local authority, transit, track & trace and intellectual property protection sectors.

The Business Development Manager will work closely with the RFID Team to win new RFID programs, customers & partners. Offer operational and technical solutions to customers and internal teams. Interact effectively with external organisations to lead projects and achieve company revenue objectives.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Identify, develop and win global/regional RFID sales in industrial markets (e.g. RTI, Logistics, Warehouse management etc.)
  • Regions of accountability - UK and global (excluding French speaking countries)
  • Consultative selling of RFID Discovery's full suite of RFID products including labels, software, hardware, and services with existing customers and target accounts in line with corporate strategy and business objectives.
  • Establish, develop and maintain excellent relationships with existing and potential customers, partners and suppliers through effective communication and building appropriate networks and partnerships.
  • Responsible for increasing RFID Discovery's Industrial RFID solutions market share.
  • Collect information and prepare proposals for new and existing customers.
  • Tender and bid submissions.
  • Contribute to development of marketing strategy and materials.
  • Attend trade exhibitions, events, trials, demonstrations and other ad hoc activities involving customers and partners.
  • Work as part of the product leadership team to identify and prioritise market solution.
  • Requirements and product features to be added to their technical roadmap.
  • Ensure customer and solution requirements are defined and specified for the technical team to deliver against.

Key Deliverables:

  • Meet revenue targets established for the assigned key customers and overall business.
  • Identify market trends to grow incremental revenue/commercial opportunities.
  • Accountable for sales forecasting and sales budgeting by providing accurate sales forecast for all respective sourcing regions.
  • Identify and evaluate market trends and competitive information that may impact regional/global sales and profitability for the company.
  • Contribute to leadership strategy and share information with regional sales representatives, corporate marketing, R&D and others.
  • Ensure Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and other project documentation is completed adequately by the industrial sales teams so that the project, development and delivery teams can deliver against the sales generated.
  • Demonstrate experience of working in a technical sales development role.
  • Tenacity and drive to seek new business and meet or exceed targets.
  • RFID experience and expertise with sound business analysis skills, experience of managing budgets.
  • Result focused, evidence of consistent achievement of meeting sales targets.
  • Experience of working in, and awareness of different cultures.
  • Detail oriented and accuracy is essential.
  • Experience of providing input to strategic decision making.
