Reporting To the Office Manager, Our Client is seeking an office-based Trainee who will have the ability and be willing to work across all areas of the business. Who will provide exceptional customer service, process orders, and offer administrative support to the team. In addition to these responsibilities, the new role involves managing the LinkedIn account and utilising social media to enhance our online presence. This position offers opportunities to transition into a sales role, supporting growth and customer engagement strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service and Administrative Support; Process customer purchase orders, sales orders, and supplier invoices.
  • Update sales ledger and maintain regular contact with suppliers and customers.
  • Raise, check, and send both order acknowledgements and invoices.
  • Maintain and manage supplier and customer relationships.
  • General administrative duties including managing individual and shared inboxes and organising relevant databases/spreadsheets.
  • Handle credit control tasks.
  • Social Media Management; Manage and update the company's LinkedIn account.
  • Develop and execute social media strategies to enhance brand awareness and engagement.
  • Monitor social media channels and respond to customer inquiries and comments promptly.
  • Collaborate with the team to create engaging content that aligns with company values and goals.
  • Marketing Support: Assist in the creation of social media posts and marketing materials for the company.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop and implement marketing campaigns.
  • Analyse social media metrics and report on the effectiveness of marketing efforts.
  • Suggest improvements and innovative ideas for social media and marketing strategies.
  • Additional Responsibilities; Provide support in resolving customer issues and inquiries.
  • Assist in other administrative / commercial tasks as required.

Qualifications, Skills and Competencies:

  • GCSE / A Level or equivalent; a degree / equivalent in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field is a plus. (Maths / English Language - GCSE - minimum requirement)
  • Some experience in a customer service role is a plus but not necessary.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, particularly LinkedIn.
  • Experience with order processing and administrative tasks - helpful.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible in a dynamic work environment.
  • Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work.
  • Self-motivated and reliable.
  • Strong customer focus.
