GTR MANCHESTER / LANCASHIRE

Monday to Friday: 8am To 4pm

Salary based on experience + 5% Pension + 25 Days Holiday (plus 8 bank holidays)

Our Client is a leading packaging manufacturer offering tailor made packaging solutions. They are looking for a motivated and reliable Stock Controller to join the Supply Chain team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth running of warehouse operations and issuing stock to the production facility by accurately managing the company's inventory.

Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Co-Ordinator, as a Stock Controller you will play a vital role in maintaining stock integrity within the warehouse. They are looking for someone with an eye for detail and excellent investigative skills with stock control experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP systems. Teamwork, communication, and tenacity are key attributes, whilst the ability to work pro-actively on your own initiative is also vital to the success of the team.

Responsibility and Main focuses:

  • Receiving and checking incoming deliveries against purchase orders / stock transfer notes.
  • Maintaining accurate stock records using the ERP system (QAD) or spreadsheets.
  • Conducting regular stock checks and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Identifying and resolving any stock discrepancies.
  • Keeping the warehouse/store clean and organised.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date stock location records.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement in stock control and inventory management.
  • Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy in stock operations.

Key Skills & Requirements:

  • Hands on Supply Chain / Stock Control / Inventory Management experience within a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • ERP system experience for inputting data.
  • A good eye for detail and good standard of written and verbal communication skills.
  • Microsoft Office & Excel usage.
