SHIFT LEADER - CORRUGATED PACKAGING

SHIFTS: 4 On / 4 Off - 2 days then 2 nights
Our client is a leading family-owned corrugated packaging company. they are involved in the conversion of Corrugated Sheets into Corrugated Cartons.
They are currently looking for two motivated Shift Leaders to join their team. This role is a great opportunity for someone to join a modern facility using highly automated equipment and to safely manage a shift to be well organised and professional in meeting the highest standards of production and efficiency that the customers require.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate in line with Health and Safety regulations set out in the training
- Ensure that the machine is producing quality product at all times
- Ensure all maintenance and housekeeping is carried out and recorded
- Strive to hit all your KPI`s daily (Runspeed, set times, downtime, 5S, Quality and waste)
- Work within a team and communicate well even under pressure, and take full responsibility for the quality of product and team when responsible
- Communicate with responsible person any health and safety issues, maintenance issues or matters of concern on the floor
- Be at the machine ready to operate promptly at the time of start and hand over to incoming colleague in a comprehensive manner
- Leave your machine as you would expect to find it (Clean and tidy, paperwork in order, tooling etc)
- Use PPE and wear appropriate clothing as provided. (This may include in time a uniform, and may include abiding by Jewellery policies etc that may become applicable through further Certifications the company decides to undertake)
- Any other reasonable request by management
Requirements:
- Should have previous experience in a modern manufacturing environment
- Natural Leadership Skills with the ability to lead by example
- High levels of Health and Safety awareness
- Strong Communication (Written and Verbal), Teamworking Skills, Technical Skills, IT and Numerical Skills and Organisational Skills
- Reasonable Physical Exertion within Health and Safety Regulations
