SALES MANAGER - PREMIUM GLASS & PLASTIC PACKAGING

Our client is a leading designer and manufacturer of glass and plastic packaging solutions, supplying premium-quality products to a diverse range of industries, including CBD, eLiquid/Vape, Aromatherapy, Home Fragrance, Personal Fragrance, Body Care, and Skincare. With an emphasis on custom bottle design, innovative 3D modelling, and a commitment to sustainability, they help brands create distinctive, eco-conscious packaging solutions that stand out in competitive markets.
They are seeking a dynamic and results-driven External Sales Manager to join our client's growing team. This role is ideal for a proactive sales professional with a proven track record in glass packaging industries. You will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, nurturing existing client relationships, and driving revenue growth across a designated territory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify and develop new sales opportunities within target industries.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to ensure long-term partnerships.
- Promote the company's diverse range of packaging solutions, including glass and plastic bottles, caps, closures, and measuring devices.
- Work closely with the New Product Development (NPD) team to offer tailored, sustainable, and innovative packaging solutions.
- Leverage 3D modelling and feasibility testing to provide customers with customised designs that enhance brand visibility.
- Meet and exceed sales targets by implementing strategic sales initiatives.
- Conduct market research to identify industry trends and potential growth areas.
- Attend industry trade shows, networking events, and client meetings to drive business development.
- Provide accurate sales forecasting and reporting to management.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience in external sales, ideally within FMCG glass packaging, sectors.
- Strong understanding of glass and plastic packaging, caps, closures, and sustainable materials.
- A consultative sales approach with excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers.
- A passion for sustainability and innovation in packaging solutions.
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify profitable business opportunities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a sales pipeline effectively.
- Willingness to travel within the designated territory.
- Full, clean driving licence.
