Our client is a plastic manufacturing company who specialise in tooling, precision plastic injection moulding and product development engineering. A vacancy has arisen for a Sales / Business Development Manager to join the UK team and make a significant contribution to the continuing growth of the business. Primary Objectives are to continue sales growth through new business development in Plastic Injection Trade Moulding as well as entering new markets. With a strong focus on continuing the development of the injection moulding facility, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and creating new sales leads across a diverse range of products in markets such as Engineering/ Manufacturing, Motorsports/ Automotive, Aerospace, Defence & Tooling among others. You will ultimately be managing a very established base of clients, creating new sales opportunities, securing business, and seeing projects through to the successful implementation into production.

Responsibilities:

  • Working with your Sales Director to seek out prospective customers and target new markets and penetrate sales in those areas.
  • Monitor market situations, competitors, and latest innovations of products.
  • Use initiative, and business support to gain a leading advantage when quoting for new business.
  • Carry out a planned and strategic approach to target new customers as agreed with your Line Manager.
  • Present and issue quotations in line with commercial parameters.
  • Take ownership of new enquiries and work with Sales Support to optimise sales opportunity.
  • Continue the expansion and growth of trade moulding through introduction of new customers and maximising sales through existing customers.
  • The role is not limited to UK and expansion of business opportunities in Europe, working closely with European Sales Team.
  • Report sales opportunities and developments to your line Manager and play a proactive part in sales meetings.
  • Preparation and presentation of sales targets, revenues, opportunities and other requested KPI's.
  • Work closely and collaborate with other departments to transition projects from sales to a successful production startup.
  • Develop working relationships with internal customers.
  • Participation in trade shows, exhibitions and promotions of the company and associated products.
  • Take ownership and assist as required in the development of UK sales and marketing campaigns.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Computer literate.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confident attitude.
  • To be able to be able to manage customer expectations and requirements with other departments and individuals.
  • Must possess a full & valid UK driver's license.
