PRODUCTION MANAGER - PLASTIC PACKAGING

Location: Greater Manchester

Salary: Circa £35,000

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Job Summary:

We are seeking a hands-on, energetic, and dynamic Production Manager to oversee our Clients' manufacturing operations at a leading plastic packaging manufacturer in Greater Manchester. The ideal candidate will be a motivated individual with a strong shop floor presence, capable of bringing enthusiasm and efficiency to the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage day-to-day production operations on the shop floor, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
• Maintain a visible presence on the shop floor, engaging with teams to drive performance and motivation.
• Monitor and optimise workflow, production schedules, and output quality.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing processes.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company policies.
• Work closely with senior management to identify training needs and develop team members.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and resolve production challenges promptly.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Previous shop floor management experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.
• Experience in plastics manufacturing is highly desirable but not essential.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate teams.
• Hands-on approach with a willingness to be actively involved in day-to-day operations.
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to implement effective solutions.
• Eagerness to learn and develop within the role.
