POS ESTIMATOR

Salary £25-£30K + Smart Pension + 25 days Holidays & 8 Bank Holidays, Free Parking Onsite + Casual Dress

Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm / 30 minute lunch

Reports to Head of Estimating

Our client is a leading manufacturer and global supplier of retail display, furniture, sites and window sets. They are recruiting for an onsite POS Estimator to join their friendly team. To meet the continued growth of the business, you will need excellent communication skills and the ability to work to set deadlines, to ensure customer requirements are met.

You will ensure overall profitability by liaising with suppliers and Project Managers. This is a small department with demanding deadlines. Attention to detail and analytical thinking is vital to this position.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain an excellent communication and working relationships with internal teams and external suppliers and customers
• Deal with queries and potential problems/issues sensitively and assertively
• To be able to solve issues and problems on own initiative
• Receive enquiries from internal and external customers
• Interpret what is required for each project working with Project Manager
• Create new quotes on the database
• Obtain most cost effective subcontract quotes
• Source new suppliers
• Ensure overall profitability by liaising with Project Managers to ensure correct suppliers are used
• A 'can do' attitude

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years' experience in POS Retail Estimating /buying industry
• A good understanding of relevant acrylic or wooden materials, print or packaging will be beneficial
• Strong written English, numeracy & organisational skills
• Excellent excel and analytical skills
• High attention to detail
• Good Communication
• Ability to work as part of a team
