Our client is a manufacturer of rigid packaging for a range of food industries. Looking to hire an experienced Key Account Manager to maintain solid relationships with the company's key clients who are all major food producers. You will also seek to develop new business opportunities within your account base and with any other organic leads.

Responsibilities will include building the company's revenue by ensuring that key clients (or new prospects depending on the role) are satisfied with the services provided and identifying new business / growth opportunities. You should also be able to develop relationships, to analyse data and sales statistics and improve business and marketing strategies and should be able to manage large stakeholder accounts with major food producers without compromising on the quality of services provided.

The company require a high performer who gives the best possible service to the customer, whilst retaining strong negotiation and communication skills.

You will have a proven track record of success within the packaging industry, any food packaging experience will be considered, but an understanding of the requirements and pinch points within major multiple food groups will be beneficial.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and sustaining solid relationships with key clients who provide significant income for the company.
  • Addressing and resolving key clients' complaints.
  • Acting as the main point of contact between key clients and internal teams.
  • Supervising the account teams assigned to each key client.
  • Communicating and collaborating with the advertising, design, marketing, sales, and logistics departments to ensure that key clients' needs are met.
  • Compiling reports on account progress, goals, and forecasts for account teams and stakeholders.
  • Developing a thorough understanding of key clients' needs and requirements and preparing customised solutions.
  • Negotiating contracts with key clients and meeting established deadlines for the fulfilment of each client's long-term goals.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in key account management of major food producers.
  • A proven track record of success within the packaging industry, any food packaging experience will be considered.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications as well as CRM software.
  • The ability to build rapport with key clients.
  • The ability to handle multiple client accounts or multi sites clients.
  • Strong negotiation and leadership skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
