HOURS OF WORKING: Monday to Thursday: 7am till 3:45pm / Friday: 7am till 2.30pm

Our client is a leading, independently owned, UK based manufacturer of high-quality printed paper packaging. The markets they serve range from "Food to Go" retailing, branded high street retailers Foodservice / Catering suppliers, wholesalers and food processors.

They are currently looking for a skilled Machine Setter/Tacker to join their production team. You will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machinery used in packaging production. You will ensure smooth operations, meet quality standards, and maintain safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Reporting to the Production Team Leader
• Responsible for setting up machines at the beginning of each shift to ensure proper working order
• Perform testing procedures to ensure that machines work optimally during production
• Monitor machines during every procedure to ensure optimum running and minimise waste
• Troubleshoot problems during machine operation
• Ensure stocks of needed materials and parts are ready and available at all times
• Make sure machines are producing quality products by managing periodic checks on output
• Carry out regular and preventative maintenance procedures
• Maintain and clean machines to the department schedule
• Provide information on changeover times, production and progress to supervisors
• Work efficiently and effectively as part of a team
• Assist the operators, and to pack production when necessary
• Place parts in semi-automated machines
• Ensure that your work area is kept tidy at all times
• Maintain high levels of Health and Safety standards while performing safety checks on every machine
