Salary Guide: Up to £70K + Company Car + Group Life Insurance Scheme + Personal Pension Plan + Annual Profit Sharing Scheme
Working Hours: 37.5 Hours a Week - 30 Mins Lunch Break
OFFICE BASED 5 DAYS A WEEK
Our client is one of the UK's leading Packaging Manufacturers, the company is well established yet growing rapidly currently employing approx. 100 people and is also well invested with further capital projects underway. The company operates in the rapidly growing corrugated packaging market and the materials the company work with have strong green credentials.
They are currently looking for a Group Commercial Technical Sales Manager to join their team. You will have the overall responsibility of the following areas: Commercial, Innovative Design, Customer Budgets/Activity and Pre-Sales Customer Interaction.
You will be responsible for managing a team of up to 6 people and will be initially review the current working practices within the team, and then implement short and long term goals which will allow the business to improve on its commercial efficiencies whilst also growing their sales portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for setting the commercial pricing strategy that will need to be modified for example at sector and customer level
- Effective at identifying, analysing and prioritising leads, and exercising sound commercial judgments on whether to pursue a sale
- Develop the team through a formalised process that will enable them to fulfil the role required to the best of their ability
- Triage the daily technical sales workload to enable the team to work on the opportunities that best suit the company portfolio
- Work alongside the New Business Development team and ensuring support is provided based on the implemented business strategy that applies to company's core strengths
- Identifying key trend within the industry that can enable the business to stay ahead of the curve
- Lead an effective sales process for a specific product, service or customer, which will involve a proportion of customer interface
Requirements:
- Must be educated at degree level - minimum 2:1
- A minimum of 10 years commercial management experience
- Must have an interest in design and have enthusiasm to manufacturing environments
- A passion to see growth through customer opportunities and have a natural ability to exceed expectations of clients
- Ability to compartmentalise so that they are able to share focus on the day to day tasks whilst also working on the medium and long term plan
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Adept at using and interpreting financial tools and information, to strategically improve margins
- Strong presentation skills, able to use demonstration tools to aid selling, and develop compelling presentations / demonstrations
