GLUING OPERATOR - CARTONS
NORTH EAST (Please contact me for further location details)
Salary £OPEN (Dependant on Experience) + 5 Weeks Holiday (170hrs) + Bank Holidays + Pension + Death in Service after a year with the company + Overtime
Hours of Work: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday - 6am till 6pm
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday - 6pm till 6am
Thursday, Friday, Saturday - 6am till 6pm
Our client is a privately owned BRC accredited carton manufacturer based in the North of England. They sell into a range of markets including finance, FMCG, manufacturing, communications, cosmetic, beauty, household, DIY, and pet care markets.
They are currently looking to recruit a Gluing Operator who will be responsible for setting and operating their High Speed Gluing Line, Hot and Cold Glue System, Gluing Crash Lock / Straight Line and Signature Gluer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting and running the Folder Gluer
- Ensuring machines are running at optimum levels
- Completing all relevant documentation
- Regular scheduled maintenance and basic running repairs
- Ensure all product is of excellent quality
- Ensuring work area is always safe and tidy
- Ensure assistants understand their role and contribute to the smooth running of machines
- Flexible attitude towards working
- Good communication skills and familiarisation with MIS Systems
- Ability to problem solve
- The ability to work to tight deadlines
Requirements:
- Ideally a minimum of 4 years running over shift and working unsupervised
- Experienced in all aspects of gluing - 4 / 6 corner / straight line / crash lock etc
- Work on own with little supervision
- Work to a high standard of quality
- Work to a high pace / speed
- Clear communication at all levels
- Fast make ready ability for quick turn around
- To run a signature gluer of a similar type
- Most work is solid board not corrugate
