Our client is a manufacturer of Timber Packaging Solutions, they are currently looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to join their sales team due to the business significantly growing. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, including new markets, new clients and new products or services.

Our client is making huge investment into the business including new machinery and production improvements, this is an excellent opportunity to join a business and a key stage and the role comes with future progression opportunities as the company grows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and developing relationships with existing clients
  • Pitching sales and products to new and existing clients
  • Creation of tenders and quotations for new business
  • Creating sales forecast and actively working towards reaching them as well as maintaining weekly and monthly sales KPI's
  • Attending networking events, conferences and exhibitions to build relationships within the industry and staying up to date with new trends
  • Creating a marketing plan to help develop the business in line with the company strategy
  • Responsible for creation and maintenance of the sales strategy which will be linked to the overall business strategy
  • Building internal relationships with all key stakeholders to ensure that customer expectations are delivered to the highest levels of customer service and quality

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in transformational growth, helping the business to evolve with a clear path to the future, working alongside the business strategy
  • Ability to identify new business opportunities, including new markets, new clients, new partnerships or new products and services
  • Building relationships with new and existing clients, gauging their needs and developing proposals to assist them
  • Someone with a curious nature, who is excited to find new and creative ways in which to develop the business
  • A real passion in growing a business and can work well within a high performing team
  • A proven sales record in targeting and winning new business, ideally within industrial, engineering, manufacturing, or logistical operations
  • Having a good understanding of selling a concept solution rather than product sell
  • An excellent communicator, someone who is strong in building credibility and trust
