Our client is a market leading Printed Folded Carton Manufacturer in the North West, who has an exceptional reputation for their outstanding levels of quality and service. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Manager to join their team, working closely alongside the Sales Director.

They are currently looking for a dynamic individual to join their team. You will be responsible for driving business growth by identifying new market opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding the customer base through newly developed packaging innovations. The role will be approx. 50% generating new business and 50% managing existing key accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new food packaging business opportunities
  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve sales targets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and sales contracts
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, market conditions, and competitor activities
  • Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote the company and its products
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to ensure client satisfaction and retention

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or sales related role within the packaging industry
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth
  • Strong understanding of packaging materials, processes and market dynamics
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft packages, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
